Vik Shpetna: Visual Artist and Textile Designer

Originally from Ukraine and currently based in Portugal, Vik Shpetna is a visual artist and textile designer known for handcrafting unique pieces using natural materials like wool and seagrass. Drawing inspiration from architecture, avant-garde style, photography, music, landscapes, and fashion, Vik creates objects that seamlessly incorporate recycled and natural elements.

With a background in interior and product design, set design, and digital media, Vik has developed a distinctive creative process. Much like a scientist, she observes, experiments, and draws conclusions to bring designs to life. Each piece is a reflection of a creative insights, where traditional techniques are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

Vik's work is characterized by its unique shapes, patterns, volumes, and textures, evoking strong emotional connections and tactile experiences. This commitment to craftsmanship and innovation is evident in every design.
